If you’re human, my guess is that your answer is “Yes!” so read on… The other day I met a friend for coffee without my cell phone. After the initial panic I felt a sense of freedom. But when I needed to call my daughter, I could not use my friends phone because I did not know either of my own children’s cell phone numbers by heart! How could I remember my childhood phone number, my bank account number and family members’ phone numbers by heart and not know my own daughters cell phone numbers? I had been hearing and reading about the term ‘digital dementia’ and felt so sorry for “those people” who were affected by it. But that day, I realized I needed to seriously take a look at my digital consumption. After researching it, my family and I have made some adjustments in our lives.
